Description
The Hong Kong International Harp Competition is a prestigious event established in 2010 to encourage harpists to achieve high artistic standards and provide a platform for showcasing talent. It promotes artistic excellence through creative and cultural exchange. The competition attracts international participants, with over 300 contestants from 22 countries in 2021. Contestants are judged by a panel of internationally renowned harpists and local professionals, receive jury feedback, and attend masterclasses. The 9th edition is scheduled for October 1-7, 2025, at Y Square in Hong Kong. The competition features 12 divisions based on age and harp type, including solo and duet categories, with required repertoire and free-choice pieces tailored to each division13.
